“July 15 (Bloomberg) — A magnitude 8.2 earthquake struck near New Zealand at 8.22 p.m. local time, the U.S. Geological Survey said on its Web site. The quake struck 830 kilometers (516 miles) southwest of Wellington at a depth of 31 kilometers.”
